Anji School, School Bus services

Our Aim is to bring as many children as possible inside the classrooms from the Farms, so we provide transportations for children from 22 villages around Anji.  Each day around 350 children are picked up from their villages and brought to the school in Anji, and after school, dropped to their respective villages.   With this facility we are able to reach education to 22 villages around Anji. Even though the cost to buy and maintain School buses is very high, we can claim only little amount from the children (currently we charge an average 100 rupees (INR) per month) from each child for transportation.

Below are the routes where we offer our Bus services (Blue route was introduced in June 2010)

Each bus runs around 2000 Kms per month, due to country-roads fuel efficieny is reduced to 8 Kms per liter of Diesel. Hence each bus consumes around 250 liters of Diesel

We currently operate 4 buses, the deficit that we bear from operating 4 buses is around 1,40,000 INR(3000 USD), we manage this defecit mainly from donations or excess funds from other schools. We appeal to our supporters do help us with this cost.  As important as this service is, the defecits that we incurr is huge drain on our resources. Kinldy help us here.
